Washington Metropolitan Area Division of Polish American Congress

The Washington Metropolitan Area Division of Polish American Congress serves the Arlington, VA community and surrounding regions as a dedicated advocacy and community engagement organization. Established in 1974, this division facilitates meaningful involvement of Polish-Americans in support of Polonia and Poland through strategic initiatives centered in the National Capital Area. The organization represents the interests and concerns of Americans of Polish heritage before the United States government, operating as part of a national umbrella organization representing approximately 10 million Polish-Americans across the country. The division coordinates with 43 PAC chapters and divisions in 23 states, providing members with opportunities to participate in cultural, educational, political, and social activities. Based in Arlington and extending throughout the District of Columbia, Virginia, and contiguous Maryland counties and municipalities, the Washington Metropolitan Area Division maintains a comprehensive network of fraternal, educational, veteran, religious, cultural, social, and business organizations. The organization's work encompasses advocacy initiatives, cultural preservation, community events, and educational programs that strengthen connections between Polish-American communities and their heritage. Through organized dinners, conferences, and commemorative events, the division actively engages its membership in meaningful dialogue and collaborative efforts. As a successor to the vision established by Col. Casimir I.
