About Polish American Congress

The Polish American Congress is a national umbrella organization headquartered in Washington, DC, representing over 10 million Americans of Polish descent and origin. As a federation of more than 3,000 Polish American organizations and clubs, the Congress serves as the unified voice for the Polish American community across all 50 states. The organization's membership comprises fraternal benefit societies, educational institutions, veteran organizations, religious groups, cultural associations, professional organizations, and social enterprises, with an aggregate membership exceeding one million individuals.

The Polish American Congress delivers comprehensive civic, educational, and cultural programs designed to advance knowledge of Polish history, language, and culture while fostering Polish American involvement and accomplishments. Through its 19 State Divisions and Chapters represented in 16 states, the organization coordinates efforts across multiple standing committees including Polish Affairs, American Agenda, Public Affairs, Cultural Affairs, Anti-bigotry initiatives, Education, Polish American Heritage Month programming, Environmental concerns, and Youth engagement. The Congress operates through a Council of National Directors and Executive Committee structure, ensuring democratic governance and responsive leadership.
